Christina Milian, Trina, Grammy winner Betty Wright & more help Flo Rida kick off inaugural cheer competition
When Flo Rida launched the Florida Youth Football League (FYFL) with his Manager Lee “Freezy” Prince they made a commitment to focus on education, the cheer program and to empower student athletes to become leaders on and off the field. Staying true to their commitment, the FYFL hosted their inaugural Cheerleading Competition recently in South Florida.
Flo Rida and his friends Christina Milian, Trina, Grammy Winner Betty Wright, Brisco & his artists Whyl Chyl, TeamPhylte and a host of others encouraged the cheerleaders to focus on their education, understand the importance of teamwork, reach beyond the stars and to remember – regardless of which team walk away with the grand award everyone is a winner.
The inaugural Florida Youth Football League Cheerleaders (FYFLC) Cheer Competition encouraged participation from the entire family. The Dillard High School gym exploded with excitement when FYFLC Moms and Dads participated in a jump and tumble off contest.
In the spirit of Flo Rida’s commitment to breast cancer awareness, Think Pink Rocks co-founder & breast cancer early detection advocate, Kathy Fleishman was on hand to discuss the importance of genetic testing for breast cancer.
“Seeing the young ladies of the FYFLC happy and getting their mom and dad not only to attend but to participate, make events like this so special” said Flo Rida.
Flo Rida and the FYFL are now gearing up for their Super Bowl Game scheduled November 18, 2012.
