J.R. & L.S. : Jayryde and Lil sleep da King….Already Rich

Empress: How’d you become a music duo?

J.R. & L.S. : we featured on a few tracks together we was feelin the vibe and how we worked together so we decided to come together as a group to make the grind even stronger

Empress: Who are your influences?

J.R. & L.S. : anybody that made it from the mud from a true hustle and aint just come out of nowhere, dudes that made some out of nothing that REAL grind

Empress: If you could compare yourself to an already established artist, who would that be and why?

J.R. & L.S. :
Probably artist like Young dolph or BC Money Mani…. self made self paid type artist we got our own bag so we invest in ourself and grind by ourself to create our own buzz

Empress: What sets you apart from them?

J.R. & L.S. : Our music different we got more commercial appeal but also got that street music too

Empress: Who is your hero musically, or do you have one?

J.R. & L.S. : Id say Jay-z because he a business man and he made his money grow much more than just this music shit

Empress: What do you think your listeners will get out of your music?

J.R. & L.S. : They gon turn up and they gon relate at the same time

Empress: What were you thinking about when this single and video was developed?

J.R. & L.S. : Just having sum people can dance to and fell good about…..the turn up basically

Empress: What made you want to get into music?

J.R. & L.S. : I knew we was good at it and creative and had a story to tell that people could relate to

Empress: What is the most difficult thing you had to endure in life?

J.R. & L.S. : Probably the death of close friends for unnecessary reasons that aint have to die

Empress: What is the most difficult thing you’ve had to endure in the music industry?

J.R. & L.S. : Getting noticed and depending on other people to try to make a way for us when in the end you gotta do for yaself….its a lot of leeches out here everybody after yo pockets so u gotta be careful on who you trust

Empress: How does it feel to be at the level you’re on now?

J.R. & L.S. : We feeling good about the movement and how we progressing ppl really starting to take notice now

Empress: Do you feel you’ve got a long way to go?

J.R. & L.S. : Hell yea you cant never get to comfortable

Empress: What do you hope to do with your music?

J.R. & L.S. : Touch people and make mfs feel good at the same time make mfs wana go out there and do sum with they life
