Austria was struck by highly effective storms and heavy hail on Thursday night, impacting the areas of Higher Austria, Styria, and Tyrol. Authorities issued pressing climate warnings, prompting the evacuation of the favored Woodstock der Blasmusik pageant, disrupting plans for over 100,000 anticipated attendees.
In Tyrol, hailstorms induced important injury to crops and autos.
In the meantime, in Styria, fierce winds uprooted timber and led to the derailment of a practice, forcing 50 passengers to disembark.
Emergency responders arrived promptly on the scene, and in line with officers, no accidents have been reported.
