1000’s of individuals gathered in central London on Saturday to watch a two-minute silence to commemorate Armistice Day.
Army officers and others held the silence on the eleventh minute of the eleventh hour to mark the tip of the First World Struggle in 1918.
Army musicians performed the normal “Final Put up” whereas wreaths have been laid on the Cenotaph, the battle memorial exterior Downing Road.
The memorial service was carried out peacefully.
